Dewatering Organic Waste

- Raw food waste
- Fruits and vegetables
- Tobacco
- Manure
- Crops
- Abattoir waste
- Paper and pulp
Organic waste from produce, canneries, plastic recyclers, breweries, poultry processors and paper mills will dewater with excellent results.
How dewatering organic waste works?
As waste materials enter the Vincent Screw Press hopper, they are subjected to a gradual increase in pressure. As the waste moves toward the exit end of the press (and as the pressure increases), any liquids are forced out via a screen mesh.
The benefits of dewatering organic waste
Organic waste that has been dewatered weighs less, which helps reduce any transport costs. There is also an added environmental benefit of reducing the overall volume of waste going to landfill, which in turn reduces transport costs and emissions whilst in transit. Dewatering waste also prevents any leakage during transportation to landfill, avoiding potentially costly breaches of regulations set out by the Environment Agency.
- Removal of oil from wood flour
- Removal of water from paunch waste at an abattoir
- Dewatering of flower stems for a flower distribution centre
